New waves of
Jews flee to Israel

Driven by the crash of the ruble, dim job prospects in major cities and a nasty resurgence of anti-Semitism, former Soviet Union Jewish immigration to Israel almost doubled in 1999. Today, about 1 million Israelis, roughly one in five Jews in the country, now speak Russian, and the vast majority of them have arrived since 1990. Many of those leaving for Israel tend to be seeking nothing more simple than a better life for their children. But last year, nearly one third of immigrants surveyed mentioned an additional reason: rising anti-Semitism in Russia. The Church is called to help the Jews home Christians for Israel is helping the Jews home to Israel from the former Soviet Union. This is Operation Aliyah. It is more than just a humanitarian project - it is a divine calling for the Church to assist the Jewish people in their physical return and restoration of the land of Israel. "Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my stand ard to the people: and they shall bring my sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders." Isaiah 49:22

Operation Aliyah

What is Operation Aliyah ?

Operation Aliyah is an international prophetic and practical project of The Jerusalem Connection International .
Operation Aliyah helps the Jewish people return to their ancestral homeland. (Neh. 1:8-9; Is. 43:5-6; Jer. 31:10; Ezek. 28:25; Zech. 2:6) . We do this by providing help in documentation, finances and transportation from their hometowns to airports and other departure points to Israel.

Where does Operation Aliyah work?

Operation Aliyah works with partners in the former Soviet Union – FSU - The United States, Central and South America.

Next to the 6.2 million in the USA and the Americas as a whole, the Ukraine contains one of the largest concentration of Jewish people outside Israel. The Jewish people have suffered terribly under the Cossacks, the Czarist empire, the aftermath of the Russian Revolution and the current instability in the region.

During the Holocaust many Ukrainians collaborated with the Germans manning concentration and extermination camps.

In addition, Operation Aliyah works with partners who focus on the USA and Canada where over 5 million Jews reside. Also, we work with those who have centered their attention on the hundreds of thousands of Sephardic Jews in Latin and South America.

Sephardic Jews are those who came to Latin and South America during the Inquisitions in Spain at about the time Columbus came to America in 1492. Many of these Hispanic Jews are just now finding out their true Jewish heritage and want to immigrate to Israel. We want to help them reach God's destiny for them

Jewish Partners in the Work

Operation Aliyah works with Jewish organizations including the Jewish Agency, Israeli Information Centers and local Jewish communities where close working relationships are necessary to realize our common goal – the return of Jews to the ??Promised Land.?? One cannot simply collect a group of people and attempt to return them to Israel. The proper timings and procedures must be followed for them to enter and then to participate in the various special programs set up by Israel for new immigrants. This close working relationship has certainly helped to bring down some of the walls of division between Christians and Jews. Please help Operation Aliyah in the urgent need to bring the Jews home to Israel.

Why does Operation Aliyah exist?

As a partial fulfillment of Biblical Prophecy. The Jewish people were scattered throughout the nations according to God's word, because of their disobedience. However now, God beckons to the gentiles to assist in the return of the Jewish people to Israel.

"I will beckon the Gentiles,
I will lift my banner to the peoples;
they will bring your sons in their arms
and carry your daughters on their shoulders.?"
( Isaiah 49:22)

Jeremiah prophesied that God's heart and soul are in the return of the Jews to land decreed to them by God's covenant.

"I will make an everlasting covenant with them:
I will never stop doing good to them,
and I will inspire them to fear me,
so that they will never turn away from me.
I will rejoice in doing good to them
and I will most assuredly plant them in this land
with all my heart and soul."
( Jeremiah 32:40-41).

God says the return Operation Aliyah is privileged to be a part of is the last return.

"I will plant Israel in their own land
never again to be uprooted
from the land I have given them,
says the Lord your God "
(Amos 9:15)
